Bohemian Forest by Annick Menardo

LabSolue presents its olfactory celebration of Patchouli.

Born in the wild, with its pungent woody and earthy hues, Patchouli Essential Oil originates from the large wavy leaves found deep in the Indonesian forests. Feel closer to Nature, a communion with Earth, the scent of true liberation, an aphrodisiac. A scent adored by the bohemians and dreamers, who revere its ability to awaken the senses and open the mind. Grounded in its intense, deep, mysterious notes, it is an exciting olfactory escape into the forest.

An Essence characterized by the intriguing Patchouli, combined with the warm notes of Ambrox and refined notes of Musk.

Curiosity: perennial herbaceous plant, Pogostemon Cablin, which grows spontaneously between 900 and 1800 meters above sea level in the South-East Asian region (India, Indonesia, Malaysia), whose leaves are dried and fermented before steam extraction. The term Patchouli derives from patchai ellai, which means "green leaf". In fact, although the color of the Essential Oil is dark amber, the leaf is bright green, very similar to mint. Knowledge of its alleged aphrodisiac properties dates back to Roman times, who used it as a stimulant for both men and women.

Good to know
LabSolue 8 Patchouli Home Perfume Refill is handcrafted in Italy. For us, Made in Italy is not just a choice of excellence, but also a commitment to the community.

The fragrance is vegan, and gender-free. For its formulation we exclusively select and use alcohol grain-derived from European sources. It does not contain artificial colorants, its color is due solely to the natural ingredients of the essence.

The fragrance is enclosed in an amber glass bottle with a screw cap. Both are recyclable.

The packaging, including the external and internal parts, is made entirely of paper, to ensure simple and correct recycling. For the same reason, we have chosen not to protect the box with cellophane. The paper we use is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, to guarantee its origin from responsibly managed forests, and is recyclable.

All this to respect and promote the social and ecological needs of present and future generations.

The Perfumer

Annick Menardo

As a child Annick Menardo was interested in science and psychiatry. She went on to study at Isipca in Versailles after which she joined Créations Aromatiques and then Firmenich. Menardo’s compositions are precise and slightly rebellious. She manages to entice and and surprise, while remaining uncluttered in her notes.

"Sometimes I wish to narrate the scent of the forest. It’s damp wood, stone, moss, something stirred in the soil (perhaps the abyss?), a hint of fruit and berries, leaves trailing behind fairies or princesses, and the wild fur of some animal". Fabrizio Caramagna
