VINCENZO MARTONE FOUNDED MARVIN IN THE '40s IN MILAN: THE COMPANY, SPECIALISED IN PHARMACEUTICAL AND COSMETIC PRODUCTION, LATER DEVELOPED INTO ICR AND LABSOLUE.
From generation to generation. The passion for fragrances, the knowledge of perfumery and a dedication to quality have been passed on through the years, paving the way for new ideas and formulas, without ever forgetting the roots.
The Martone family tree stems from Vincenzo Martone, the founder of Marvin Pharmacy and Cosmetics. Vincenzo is then followed by his son Roberto Martone, who took over the family company and changed it into ICR Industrie Cosmetiche Riunite, a world-renowned luxury perfume manufacturer. Today's branches are Vincenzo's granddaughters, Giorgia and Ambra Martone, creators of LabSolue.
Vincenzo Martone founded Marvin in Milan in the early '40s. The company, originally specialised in the production of pharmaceutical drugs and antibiotics, later started producing fragrance and skincare products. In 1969 it won the "Oscar of cosmetics" for inventing an hypoallergenic moisturizing cream. Roberto Martone, Vincenzo's son, took over the company and started creating perfumes for Italian brands: in 1975 ICR was born. From the '80s, prominent figures from the Italian luxury industry started working with ICR: Renato Balestra, Gianni Versace, Nazareno Gabrielli, Nicola Trussardi, Romeo Gigli, Bulgari, Salvatore Ferragamo, Emanuel Ungaro, Roberto Cavalli among others.

Before launching MARVIN's cosmetic line on Italian and foreign markets, the talented technicians of MARVIN’s research laboratories performed tests for several years, supervised by internationally renowned medical experts.
After several experiences, it was possible to prepare a vast range of products with an absolutely safe eudermic effect even for the most delicate types of skin. Chemical, physical, biological and clinical tests, which represent the basis for every MARVIN formula, are a guarantee of safety.”

LabSolue began to take shape in 2007, evolving from Marvin, as a result of Giorgia’s interest in the family archive and history. Giorgia went through past fragrances, she studied their old formulas and breathed new life into the details of the original packagings. Through the retrieval of a precious heritage, the family business acquired a new energy. Indeed, ICR was able to embrace the past in its products of today, bringing the creativity and intuition of the past into the future, into the arms of the next generation.
