Quintessentially Italian by Yann Vasnier

LabSolue presents its olfactory celebration of Cedar Fruit.

A quintessential Italian scent. Native to Southeast Asia, since the 3rd century B.C. the Cedar Tree, Citrus Medica, has prospered in Italy. Today it is mainly cultivated in Calabria, in the coastal strip called "Riviera dei Cedri". The zest is very rough and exceptionally thick, it constitutes up to 70% of the fruit and is cold pressed to extract the Essential Oil. It is considered the progenitor of all citrus species: Lemon, Orange, Bitter Orange, Bergamot, Grapefruit. A praise to the citrus olfactive family, a portrait of sun-kissed fruits framed by their blossoming flowers and green foliage.

An Essence of Italian Cedrat, with Italian Yellow Mandarin, Neroli, notes of Amber and Leather.

Curiosity: the name Cedar derives from the vulgarization of the Latin term Citrus. Not to be confused with the famous Cedar of Lebanon, which is not a citrus but a conifer , well known to have supplied wood for boat construction in the ancient world.

SUGGESTIONS FOR USE
Using the candle: To get the most out of the candle, place it on a flat, heat-resistant surface and let it burn for 2 or 3 hours at a time, until the entire surface melts. This will prevent voids from forming in the wax later. Never leave the candle burning unattended and do not let it burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Do not move the lit candle or when the wax is still liquid. Never place the lit candle in the presence of air currents, nor in direct contact with precious or flammable surfaces. Keep the candle out of the reach of children and pets and away from curtains or other objects.

Taking care of the wick: Regularly cut the wick to the ideal length of 1 cm, to avoid the emission of smoke and the fall of the wick into the wax. After use, when the wax is still melted, if necessary gently recenter the wick to ensure uniform consumption of the wax and that the glass does not overheat at the next ignition. The wick and flame must not touch the container.

Re-using the candle: Do not burn the candle to the end; a candle is finished and should not be relit when at least 5 mm of unmelted wax remains on the bottom. At this point, it begins its second life: the glass container can be cleaned and reused as a water glass, vase for small plants and flowers, brush or pencil holder, holder for smaller candles…

Wax weight: 200 g, 7.05 OZ.
