The first to wake, and the last to bed. The "Tree of Light" recounts how the sun’s rays warm the conifer’s snowy foliage until the final moments of dusk, emanating musky and earthy hues. With its bark rich in resin, its branches full of pine cones, its foliage thick with needles and snow, it fills the air with grounding woody and balsamic scents that are balanced with freshness. A call to the forest, to the majesty of the mountains, commending Nature’s resilient intertwining relationships.

Curiosity: Silver Fir grows spontaneously in the mountain forests of the Alps, from 800 to 1800 meters above sea level. It is a majestic and perennial tree. Its scientific name Abies Alba derives from the Greek "long-lived" and "white", in fact it can live up to six hundred years and its needle-like leaves are characterized by two whitish lines. Given its considerable height, on average thirty meters but can grow up to sixty, it is also called "the prince of the woods". It is distinguished from the Pine by the arrangement of the needles, which are inserted individually into the branches, comb-like, rather than reunited in small groups. In ancient pagan traditions, it symbolized the winter solstice, guardian of light and a promise of change. In the long night that winter brings with it, it was associated with the victory of life over death, of light over darkness. It is no coincidence that during the Middle Ages it was decorated with garlands and candles: the meaning of "tree of light" was attributed to it. This custom was later associated with the birth of Jesus and gave rise to the tradition of the Christmas tree. Stimulating and invigorating, in aromatherapy it gives new strength and fresh energy.
