Perfume of Precious Tears by Alexandra Carlin

LabSolue presents its olfactory celebration of Myrrh.

Native to the Middle East and known since the ancient Egyptians for its ability to reconnect the spirit with the earthly world, it is a natural resin with an exquisite balsamic and aromatic scent from the Commiphora Myrrha thorny trees. It presents itself as tear-shaped gold droplets, as it forms from the entire plant, from the roots, to the trunk, to the highest branches, and is collected by hand. A deep and mystical perfume, which draws from the precious tears of the Myrrh Tree. An intermediary between heaven and earth.

An Essence made of Myrrh Absolute and Myrrh Essential Oil, combined with the enveloping and spicy notes of Tolu and Fir Balsam.

Curiosity: the myth of Myrrh is narrated by Ovid in the Metamorphoses. It concerns Myrrha's carnal love for her father, the king of Paphos. A desperate and uncontrollable passion, which she cannot free herself from, to the point that she tries to take her own life. The gods accept her plea and transform her into a tree. Not holding back her tears, drops of scented resin emerge from the bark, taking her name.
