An Essence formed with the precious resinous wood of Oud, or Agarwood, accompanied by the refined natural resins of Styrax and Benzoin.

Curiosity: Oud or Agarwood is the resinous heartwood that forms in the Aquilaria Tree, an evergreen from Southeast Asia, when it is infected by a particular type of mold. As a defense, the plant produces a dark aromatic resin that thickens and embeds itself in the wood and is traditionally highly prized in Arab culture for its characteristic scent. It is the most expensive wood in the world, due both to the scarcity of this natural resource which takes many years to form, and the laborious harvesting process which requires skill and experience. The dark aromatic part must in fact be separated by hand from the healthy part, the so carved wood chips are used directly as incense or distillated for the extraction of the Essential Oil.
