From a passion and family tradition rooted in the past but reaching out to the future, the third family of the Olfactory Library is a tribute to woods and resins.
These compositions are in fact inspired by noble trees, with their roots, trunks, branches, and the particularity of the assortment depends on the wood represented. Characterised by rich or delicate notes, dry or damp scents, creamy or smoky details, dark or bright nuances, the woody fragrances are sensual and elegant, mysterious and timeless.
Resins, extracted from the bark of trees, become intensely perfumed drops that enchant with notes that are fresh and balsamic, soft and soothing, sweet and aromatic. They carry with them an aura of mystery and represent the soul of the tree that has always cared for and protected.
There are currently nineteen Woods and Resins Essences within the LabSolue Olfactive Library. They include, but are not limited to 27 Abete Bianco (Silver Fir), 29 Legno di Cedro (Cedarwood), 205 Mirra (Myrrh), 206 Opoponax and 207 Liquidambar. One of LabSolue best-selling essences, Liquidambar refers to a genus of tree from North America, whose name means ‘liquid amber’ - in fact, when this plant is engraved, a resin with a mystical scent gushes out. The tree, along with other scents from the line, is planted within the garden located at Magna Pars, the Hotel à Parfum and is also the raw material after which the hotel bar is named.
