Aqua Adornationis is a glimpse into the Martone family's roots and love for art, quality and craftsmanship: from the historic pharmaceutical and cosmetic brand Marvin created by Vincenzo Martone, to ICR - the luxury perfume manufacturer founded by Roberto Martone, to the artistic perfumery brand LabSolue developed by the sisters Giorgia and Ambra Martone.
LabSolue and Aqua Adornationis symbolize craftsmanship in the world of perfumery: they combine research and experimentation aiming at creating passionate perfumes. With a contemporary, elegantly minimal and slightly vintage style, the glass bottles pay homage to the original design of Marvin, along with the decorations that embellish our labels and stoppers. We get inspiration from history and from a family passion that takes root in the past while looking forward to the future.

Aqua Adornationis: a disused Latin expression with a deep symbolic meaning that makes a comeback with a line of fragrances to adorn the spirit with new olfactive emotions. It travels through time and reaches the modern interpretation of craftsmanship in the world of perfumery.
The Latin name Aqua Adornationis was noticed by Giorgia Martone on the bottom label of an old perfume in the archives of Marvin, the company founded by her grandfather Vincenzo in 1940. By doing research herself, she discovered that that was the legal definition used to market fragrances in Italy at that time, and that it was mandatory to write it on labels just like today we use the French titles eau de toilette, eau de
cologne, eau de parfum and so on. The literal translation is already a poem itself: water to adorn – an explanation of the day-to-day use of perfumes, but also a declaration of their beauty within simplicity. LabSolue decided to keep the original name to celebrate past generations.

The line currently consists of eight perfumes created in collaboration with the most talented international Master Perfumers.

Sophie Labbé, has signed two masterpieces: Alpha 1977 and Bohemian Spirit. The first one is about summer and sunburns, about new stories, promises and excitement.
Bohemian Spirit portrays Giorgia Martone, founder of LabSolue. Over the course of almost fifteen years, Giorgia has perfected with Sophie this original creation which refers to the year of her birth, and describes the feeling of her first encounter with perfume, the brief moment that passes between being unknown and getting to know each other, the synthesis of her lightness
and depth, of her child’s heart and woman’s soul. Today it is the Essence that brings Giorgia back to us in her absence.

Aqua Adornationis fragrances are formulated exclusively as eaux de parfum for the body - available in 120 ml and 20 ml bottles, with Natural Spray.
They come in transparent glass bottles with a contemporary, elegantly minimalistic design - inspired by the original design of Marvin perfume bottles - designed and built to last and to be refillable and recyclable.
The screw cap can be easily opened, both fo refill and for recycling purpose.
The cap is made in Italy, from a high quality recyclable metal alloy. It is engraved on the top with the historical Marvin brand symbol: a tiny alembic with the letter m.
The finishing touch is a refined transparent label with embossed decorations that allude to Vincenzo Martone's original products' ornaments.
Each and every detail is a tribute to the origins and history of the family.
