A factory transformed into an olfactive hub, in Milan
LabSolue: The Perfume Laboratory

The architecture of LabSolue perfume laboratory reflects talent, sensitivity and precision, all keywords for our perfume production.

Located in the design district of Milan, between Via Tortona and Via Forcella, our laboratory i now situated on the site of the original Marvin factory.

The structure of the building reflects both historical influences and present-day trends. The use of industrial materials like iron and glass is combined with the use of wood, recalling a strong connection with nature.

The interiors of the Laboratory reflect the creative and rigorous design of the perfumes.

You can still perceive the original Marvin pharmacy in our LabSolue Laboratory: archival objects from the '50s and '60s stored in wooden cabinets with drawers and showcases inspired by the pharmaceutical laboratory, and the characteristic apothecary jars made of amber glass. These become identification codes that provide strength and stability to our ever changing collection, deeply rooted in the past but always aspiring to the future.

Everything can be traced back to the pharmaceutical tradition. To smell the perfumes, glass funnels are used. The essences are kept in steel refrigerators, in the dark, at five degrees. The perfumes are freshly filled, packed and labeled on the spot: an expert Lab Tender delves the perfume lover into an olfactive memory to find a particular fragrance that evokes a specific souvenir.

MILAN

Our LabSolue’s hub in Milan is a part of Magna Pars Hotel, making it the first Hotel à Parfum in the world. The Laboratory is divided into "olfactory islands", each one dedicated to an olfactive family and a library of scents. The three sections are: Fruits and Aromatics, Floral shrubs, and Wood and Resins. A seamless attraction that leads us to another "island", the island of our handcrafted candles.

ROME

Perfume lovers are welcomed in our Laboratory with its sleek design furnished with wooden cabinets belonging to the original Marvin pharmacy.

You can also visit our LabSolue Perfume Laboratory in Rome. At a short distance from Campo de’ Fiori, LabSolue’s second Italian home is situated among the art galleries and unique boutiques of Via di Monserrato.
This is one of the most intriguing streets of the city of Rome, known for its intertwinement between past and present, between tradition and modernity – the ethos of LabSolue echoes the ethos of the Eternal City.

Via di Monserrato is dedicated to artistic shopping and genuine Italian lifestyle. It is located in the center of the city, yet it is a quiet escape from chaos. Here, people live at a slower pace while walking through art galleries, flower shops, jewelry stores and local boutiques. LabSolue’s Laboratory fits perfectly in this context if you appreciate made in Italy and high-end craftsmanship.

The interiors of our olfactory Laboratory in Rome remain true to the original one in Milan. Furnished with elegant wooden cabinets and shelves, it takes inspiration from Marvin's pharmaceutical laboratory. Wood, combined with iron and steel, is used for the structure of the "olfactory islands". Just like in our hub in Milan, there is an "island" dedicated to each olfactory family: Fruits and Aromatics, Floral shrubs, and Wood and Resins. There is an additional "island" dedicated to our Aqua Adornationis line, inspired by LabSolue's family values and connected with the symbol of the tree, with its strong roots and its connection with nature.

The symbol of the tree is always the focus of inspiration and an olfactory reference for LabSolue.

Roots, trunk, resins, branches, leaves, flowers, fruits: the plant is considered in its totality and complexity when deciding to create a perfume. It is a process of glorification of its essence. But the tree is also the symbol representing the Martone family history, from Vincenzo's perfume factory to today’s reality: three generations have passed on and sublimated the art of perfumery. Finally, the tree becomes a graphic symbol to identify Magna Pars, the family's Hotel à Parfum, which is now situated on the site of the original perfume factory.
